FAQ
FAQ
Do I need to have done Pilates before?
Not at all! My classes are open to every body — whether you’re completely new or have been practicing for years. I’ll guide you through everything, with plenty of options so you can move at your own pace.
What do I need to bring to class?
Just yourself, a mat, a bottle of water and wear comfortable clothing you can move in.
I have a mat you can borrow if you want to try the class before investing in one.
Can men do Pilates?
Yes! Pilates was actually developed by a man, Joseph Pilates, and it’s brilliant for everyone — regardless of gender, size, or ability. It improves strength, stability, and balance, which supports all other forms of movement.
Is Pilates good for back pain?
Yes — when done mindfully and with proper technique, Pilates can help strengthen your core and support your back. Many people find it helps reduce pain and improve posture over time.
I’m not flexible — can I still do Pilates?
Absolutely. You don’t need to be flexible to start Pilates — Pilates helps you become more flexible and mobile over time. It’s about awareness, strength, and control, not touching your toes!
What if I have an injury or health condition?
Please let me know before class, so I can offer safe and supportive variations. Pilates can often help with mobility, strength, and rehabilitation – but I’ll always make sure movements are suitable for you.
What should I wear?
Anything you feel comfortable moving in — leggings, joggers, shorts, or a t-shirt. You don’t need shoes, but you might want socks with grip or bare feet for better connection to the mat.
What can I expect from a class?
Each class includes mindful movement, breathwork, and a mix of strengthening and mobility exercises. You’ll leave feeling stronger, calmer, and more connected to your body.
